    She pushed the door open and stopped when she saw the two girls lying on the floor. Both dead, both with bites on their necks that were still bleeding. Pursing her lips, Caroline looked up and found the person who’d called her there. 

    Wiping the corner of his mouth free of leftover blood, Klaus smiled. 

    ‘Hello Caroline.’ 

    ‘So you think this is the way to get my attention?’ Caroline scolded him. 

    ’Not at all, and I’m offended you think this is all for you. Can‘t a hybrid have a little fun around here of his own accord?’ He paused to smirk. ‘Although we both know it’s your neck you’d prefer my lips were on, don’t we?’
